Smartphones are not just for the affluent anymore. With the advancement in phone technology, it’s possible to own a phone that works like a mobile computer for less than $100. Choices are becoming more and more available, and the cell phone plans are becoming more affordable, too.

Blackberry

The prepaid Blackberry Curve is one of the top three cheap smartphones. It’s got all the features one expects from a mobile device. The software can be upgraded as new versions become available. In the meantime, it has the design that many business people prefer. For those who find the touch screen hard to use, the blackberry is a great choice.

The Future of Nokia

There was a time when Nokia was everything that was hot about the smart phone. There was a time when you couldn’t go anywhere or talk to anyone who wasn’t using a nokia. But the times they are a changing and with the rise of blackberry, apple, and the droid line there has been a dip in the popularity of the Nokia phone. However, after their meeting last week it was clear that Nokia still makes one of the best phones on the market and as they attempt to get into the smart phone craze there will be stiff competition for the phone and it will make the other markets stand up and take notice.

One of the things that Nokia wanted to make clear to all those in attendance is that Nokia is a Finnish company. There is no way, shape or form where they are going to go to the United States to set up shop and operate out of there. They are Finnish from start to finish.

They are coming out with a Windows phone that will be along the same lines as the other windows phones, but it’s different in it’s scope as far as there is somethings that they are allowed to do that the rest of the makers are not allowed to do.

Google has had talks with Nokia, but Nokia has decided right now that they are better off just operating within their own ecosystem. This just shows the world what kind of company Nokia is. They are the only company that won’t buy into the craze. They have waited and will release the best phone when the time is right. That’s the mark of a great company. Hopefully Nokia will get into the phone game and make everything better for all the consumers in the market.
